CAVS Family Mentoring Service
Do you have parenting experience to share? Could you use that knowledge to help a family get their lives back on track?
CAVS Family Mentoring Service are looking for empathic, reliable, and approachable volunteers to support families with children aged 0-19 years with a variety of needs in Castle Point.
Volunteers will be working alongside Family Support Workers to support parents with everyday challenges such as:
- Behaviour management
- Daily routines
- Coping with debt and budgeting
- Emotional support and confidence building
- Signposting to other services where appropriate
- Attending meetings
As a Family Mentor you will receive full training and ongoing support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to gain new skills, meet new people, be part of a team, build confidence and give something back to the community.
Applicants must be have good communication skills, a warm and open personality, highly organised and non-judgemental.
